How to get rid of Negative Energies in your Home

Home is where we feel safest and most secure, so it’s no surprise we tend to unload a lot of our emotional baggage within its walls. Are you ready to clear your home of negative vibes and create a positive space?

You should know that negativity affects ourselves and everyone around us. It limits our potential to become something great and live a fulfilling, purposeful life. Negativity has a tangible effect on our health, too. Research has shown that people who cultivate negative energy experience more stress, more sickness, and less opportunity over the course of their lives than those who choose to live positively. Here are few tips for how to get rid of negative energy in your home and clear your own energy too:

Black tourmaline

This is my favorite crystal for clearing negative energy.  I have several of them around my house. This crystal does not need to be cleared as others do and it works for people too. You can put it in your pocket while traveling.

Salt

Simply sprinkle salt on the carpet. After about an hour, vacuum. Salt crystals have an amazing natural built in-ability to absorb negative energy. As an alternative, you can put bowls of salt in the corners of the room and remove after a few hours.
This works for people too. Instead of sprinkling yourself with salt, take a bath with 2 cups of sea salt in it. It’s grounding and clearing all at the same time.

Burn white sage

You can buy white sage smudge sticks in many places, including online. Burning this while you walk around your house with it is really great for clearing bad energy.
This works for people too. Start at your feet swirling the smoke from the sage around you until you get all the way up to your head.

High frequency music

Playing high vibration music can make a big difference. We already know what a difference music can make in our own energy, and it does the same for spaces.

More flowers

Plants are an awesome natural filter for negative energy. Make sure each space or room you spend time in has at least one. I sleep with one on my nightstand by my bed and it makes a big difference for me. Opening the windows and allowing sunlight in is another natural cleanser.
